Advanced Modality Tech Barnes ( BJH) - Primarily North Campus
(CAM)

- Full-Time
- Day Shift: Mon-Fri (8am - 4:30pm) + 1 rotating Saturday a month
& 1 holiday per year
- 75% working in the 3D post processing lab with Cardiac imaging
& 25% working on the scan floor scanning patients
- Experience with post processing & advanced imaging skills
- NO CALL
- Siemens MRI Machines - access to the latest and most advanced
MR equipment needed to provide the clearest and most accurate
images for complex and critical situations Requirements:
- Associate degree or higher in related field
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography -
R.T.(R), MR

Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose Performs all responsibilities of a Advanced Modality
Technologist and assumes responsibilities of the Lead Tech in their
absence. Assists in the development and training of students and/or
new employees. Senior Advance Modality Technologist must have 3 or
more responsibilities within the following categories:
hospital/department initiatives, patient experience and employee
engagement, quality assurance, process improvement and mentorship.
Performs all responsibilities under the direction of lead/charge of
advanced modality technologist. Responsibilities
- Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
- Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable
exams, and other site as required by work area.
- Assists with regulatory compliance for the department (ACR,
JC). Maintains up-to-date regulatory information. Oversees
department quality assurance program under the direction of the
Clinical Instructor or Lead/Charge.
- Participates in department or hospital safety/quality process
improvements and initiatives. Leads the team in improving patient
experience and/or improving employee engagement.
- Mentors new employee and/or clinical students under the
direction of the CI.
- BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The
ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe
manner is an essential function of this job. Minimum Requirements
Education
- Associate or Trade School Equi Experience
- 2-5 years Supervisor Experience
- No Experience Licenses & Certifications
- IEMA - Illinois only, excl MRI
- R.T.(R), CT,MR,M,BD,CI,VI,RCIS Preferred Requirements
Experience
- 5-10 years Licenses & Certifications
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- Intravenous Therapy
