Job Summary
Sterile Processing Technician responsible for decontaminating, disinfecting, and cleaning medical instruments, preparing and sterilizing reusable items, and ensuring accurate tray/case completion within expected turnaround times.

This is a critical position in the healthcare ministry, requiring attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• Decontaminate, disinfect, and clean medical instruments, following established procedures
  
• Prepare and sterilize reusable items, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  
• Prepare instrument trays for the Operating Room and all departments as needed
  
• Stay current with sterilization techniques and monitor biological tests for all methods of sterilization
  
• Provide leadership and innovation within the healthcare ministry
  
• Coordinate orientation of new employees and assist with continuing education of sterile processing department staff
  
• Assist in the development and revision of department procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  
  
  Requirements
  
  • 
    
  • High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
    
  • One year sterile processing experience
    
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT)
    
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent standing, walking, and lifting
