PART TIME -Mercy South Medical Stepdown Opportunities -Graduate and Experienced nurses encouraged to apply here! - - -*Residency Provided* -Up to $10,000 Sign On Bonus for RNs!$5,000 Sign On Bonus for GNs!No Contract -Medical Stepdown is a unit that specializes in the care of acutely ill medical patients. We primarily focus on those suffering from respiratory failure and/or other general medical problems that are acutely ill.

• Patient population may include: - Bipaps, High Flow Oxygen, Tracheostomies, and Ventilated Tracheostomies, Respiratory Failure, Gastrointestinal Bleeds, Alcohol Withdrawal, Drug Overdose, Severe Sepsis, End of Life Care
• This unit requires excellent critical thinking skills and quick decision making skills
  • Close relationship with pulmonologist
    • Due to the diverse nature this unit provides numerous educational opportunities for our coworkers. -
      • 22- patient bed unit
      • RN ratio 3-4 patients, with tech support
      • 24/7 Leadership support
      • Collaborate daily with Care Management team, PT and OT, dieticians and pharmacistsQualifications:
        • Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
