  • Position / Specialty: Medical Surgical RN
  • Shift: 4x12 Days (3x12 is available too) (0645-1915)
  • Avg. Daily Census: 22 patients.
  • Years of experience REQ: Minimum 2 years' experience required.
  • First-timers accepted: No.
  • Weekend REQ: Will work every other weekend
  • Is on-call REQ? No.
  • Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? Will float to other units within scope as needed
  • Open to accommodating block schedule? Discuss schedule requests with manager.
  • Locals accepted: Yes- no radius.
  • Must have active IL license in hand to apply.
  • RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days.
    • Job Requirements
    • Med/Surg experience required.
    • Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Skills/Experience: Telemetry- remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams.
    • Required Gastrointestinal Case Skills/Experience: Colostomy Care, Feeding tube care and management.
    • Required Genitourinary/Renal Case Skills/Experience: Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure.
    • Required IV therapy/Phlebotomy Skills/Experience: Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs.
    • Required Medication Skills/Experience: Heparin, Insulin, PCA.
    • Required Neurological/Psychiatric Case Skills/Experience: Spinal cord injuries.
    • Ortho trauma experience required.
    • Experience with surgical drains required.
    • Required Respiratory Case Skills/Experience: CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Pre/Post Thoracic Surgery, Tracheostomy Management.
    • Required Professional Knowledge and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac
      • Schedule Information
      • Guaranteed Hours: Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without paying for the cancelled hours. If Client cancels more hours than permitted by this section, Client will be billed for any shifts or portions thereof cancelled in excess of this section. If Candidates are placed on-call in lieu of being called off, that will count as a called-off shift.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Physical within a year of start, and updated annually. Labs must be complete/scheduled within 7 days of signing contract. Must be signed by MD, NP, PA, DC, APN or DO. The physician's credentials, clinic location, and phone number must be listed on the form. Statement must indicate candidate is in good physical and mental health, free of communicable disease, and able to perform the core functions of the position without restrictions. Facility can accommodate latex allergies.
          • Additional Details
          • A legible copy of a valid/current US Driver's license or US ID card
          • Badge photo required within a week of signing. This is due no later than Monday before start. Photo must be in color from mid-shoulders up. It must be taken against a plain background, preferably dark blue or dark gray with appropriate clothing and no filters. Not needed for any candidate extending from Focus One.
          • Candidate must review and sign within 7 days of signing contract.
          • Required if candidate is requesting a Religious Exemption from flu vaccine. Once completed, CL must send to PM for approval.
          • Required if requesting a Medical Exemption from flu vaccine. Once complete, CL must send to PM for approval.
