Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU) OpportunitiesGraduate and Experienced nurses encouraged to apply here! - -*Residency Provided* -$10,000 Sign On Bonus for RNs!$5,000 Sign On Bonus for GNs!No Contracts! - -Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit (CVPCU) is an upbeat, fast-paced unit dedicated to post-op Cardiovascular patients such as CABGs. CVPCU also focuses on acute/chronic conditions such as Congestive Heart Failure, afib, and STEMI patients. CVPCU works closely with Surgeons and the heart clinic to ensure their patients are able to successfully return home at discharge. -Patient population may include: -post operative cardiac and thoracic surgery, kidney failure, pulmonary issues, overdoses, arrythmias and myocardial infarctions.This unit requires excellent critical thinking skills and quick decision making skillsDue to the diverse nature this unit provides numerous educational opportunities for our coworkers. - -32 - patient bed unitRN ratio 3-4 patients, with tech support24/7 Leadership support Collaborate daily with Care Management team, RT, PT and OT, Lab, Pharmacy, Transport Team, and the OR -For additional questions please reach out to Michelle Simmonds at - -or call/text 314-525-1593.Mercy Hospital South has been recognized numerous times including:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
