WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORThis position is under the supervision of the Director of Therapy Relief at Hope; the Speech & Language Pathologist provides and speech/language therapy for adults with developmental disabilities. WHAT YOU WILL DOEvaluate students' communication skills and implement speech and language treatment based on established goals, in individual or group settings.Serve, communicate, and consult as a member of an interdisciplinary team.Maintain detailed records and compile written progress reports and treatment plans as needed, IEPs. Evaluate need and type of augmentative communication devices (AAC) and provide guidance and training to parents/guardians, teachers, and/or staff members on the use of devices.Participate in ongoing IEP , as well as staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
