Summary:
- Accurately prepares, posts, verifies and records customer
payments.
- Applies credit memos to appropriate invoices.
- Research and reconcile customer accounts including unapplied
payments, misapplications, and billing errors.
- Records write-offs to the appropriate general ledger
accounts.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Effectively communicate with customers, internal and external,
in a professional manner and through several mediums of
communication. Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers,
copier, and phone system.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced
environment.
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally
with customers.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Understanding basic accounting principles including debit and
credit entries.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to type 40+ words per minute and complete 10-key entry.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree
Preferred.
- One year of data entryPhysical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a
computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.It is the policy
